Keith J. Gredys, J.D., CTFA, AIF®

Keith Gredys co-founded Kidder Benefits Consultants in 1996 and has more than 30 years of investment, trust and pension administration experience. He is a recognized expert in investment management, fiduciary issues and qualified plan administration and has served a wide range of clients and sponsors – from sophisticated small plans to complicated large plans with participants and individual accounts exceeding $100 million.

Keith possesses a law degree (J.D.) and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has and earned the professional designation of Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA), which covers the disciplines of fiduciary law, insurance, tax law, and investment management. He also has obtained the professional designation of Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), which covers investment fiduciary standards of care and investment due diligence. He conducts numerous seminars and continuing education programs on qualified retirement plans and fiduciary topics for individuals and professional groups across the United States. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Nebraska State Bar Association.

Doug Lane co-founded Farr, Kellner, and Lane in 1993, which later became Lane & Associates in 2000. Lane & Associates provided actuarial services for Defined Benefit and Cash Balance plans for plan sponsors and other third party administrators, including Kidder Benefits Consultants, Inc.

In 2011, Kidder Benefits Consultants, Inc. acquired majority ownership of Lane & Associates and now operates as Kidder-Lane Actuarial Services, LLC.  Doug serves as the President of Kidder-Lane which provides actuarial services for over 270 plans from plan sponsors and other third party administrators.

With over 30 years of experience, Doug has worked as a consulting actuary for both small and large pension plans and health plans since beginning his career at Principal Financial Group.  Doug is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa.  He has earned and maintained the professional designations of Fellowship of Society of Actuaries (FSA) and Enrolled Actuary (EA).  Doug is also a member of the Society of Pension Actuaries (MSPA) and the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).

Kevin G. Steffensmeier, FLMI

Kevin has been the Senior Pension Manager with Kidder-Lane Actuarial Services, LLC. (Previously Farr, Kellner, and Lane, and later Lane & Associates) since 1995.  Kevin provides analysis and calculations for all actuarial work of Kidder-Lane.  He provides technical support to the Chief Actuary, clients, and third party administrators in their administration of Defined Benefit and Cash Balance Plans.  Kevin has 25 years experience, beginning his career in the Pension Actuarial Services Department at Principal Financial Group.  He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance and minor in Economics from Iowa State University.  Kevin has also been awarded the Fellowship of Life Management Institute (FMLI) designation.

Dawn M. Hafner, CPA, MBA, CPC, QPA

Dawn Hafner has executive authority over Kidder’s operations and multiple offices. In addition, she plays a key role in developing and implementing the firm’s ongoing growth strategy. Dawn has more than 20 years of experience in qualified plan design, document preparation, administration and compliance for 401(k), ESOP and Defined Benefit plans. Prior to joining Kidder in 2015, she served as Engagement Leader for the ESOP Consulting Division of Verisight (formerly RSM McGladrey). From 2000 to 2003, she was Kidder’s Manager of Administrative Services. Dawn is widely recognized for her expertise and has published numerous articles on issues impacting qualified plans. In 2013, she co-authored “Best Practices for ESOP/401(k) Combinations” by the National Center for Employee Ownership.

Dawn is a member of the Iowa Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She earned her Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) and Qualified Plan Administrator (QPA) designations from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. She is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. in Accounting and earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Iowa.

Judy A. Richardson, QPA

Judy joined Kidder in 2001. She is responsible for managing all administration and recordkeeping services for Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit Plans for all Kidder locations. Judy has 30 years of experience in qualified plan administration and recordkeeping services, working with large complex Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit plan clients and is a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA). She previously served as Retirement Plan Services Operations Manager in the trust department for First National Bank of Omaha. She has additional experience with two third-party administration firms in Omaha as well as Principal Financial Group. Judy attended Iowa State University and is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries.
